Get To The Bottom Of Your Pain & Discomfort

By understanding how your body functions, what it needs, and what it’s trying to tell you, we give you the tools to manage your pain and become the most resilient version of you.

Let’s Get You Moving, Recovering & Functioning Better

Life is meant to be lived to its fullest, but living can bring on—or bring back—aches and pains. We’ll help you relieve those pains, but we’ll also push you to take your healing further. Because lifelong health and resilience is about functioning better, not just feeling better.

Changing The Way We Look At Pain

Pain is real, but it’s not always bad. Some pain tells us when we’re pushing too far. Some pain is worth pushing through.
(We’re looking at you, childbirth!)

Pain isn’t always reliable, either. In fact, we only feel 30% of what happens in our bodies. This is why sometimes, we don’t find out about a small issue until it becomes a BIG issue. And, it’s why feeling alone isn’t an accurate measure of health.

So for us, it’s never as simple as just alleviating pain. We also work to understand it, take away some of its power, and shift the focus from how your body feels to how your body functions.

This Is How We Do It

We combine the salutogenic model of health with tonal chiropractic techniques for an approach that feels new, but is deeply rooted in both modern health and traditional chiropractic knowledge.

Salutogenic Model of Health

When it comes to pain and wellbeing, perception is everything. So to help you manage pain and build resilience, we pay more attention to the factors that promote wellbeing than those that don’t. This way, we can focus on moving you forward instead of what’s holding you back.

Tonal Chiropractic Techniques

Tonal Chiropractic takes a nerve-centric approach to healing. By understanding how your body is struggling to manage stress, it works to restore balance to your nervous system (which controls and coordinates all other systems) so you can more easily heal, recover, and adapt to change.

A Healing-First Approach To Chiropractic Care

Not all Chiropractors use manual adjustments to alleviate pain and/or improve range of motion. Instead, some (like us!) choose to deliver our corrections to the spine with an adjustment tool called the Integrator. This technique allows for the adjustment to be delivered to the body in a relaxed state.

The Integrator helps stimulate your nerve system to recalibrate itself. Typically manual adjustments can have the benefit of an instant release of tension. Being adjusted with the Integrator can feel more subtle, but create a sense of relaxation and calmness in your body.
If you’re nervous or have any questions about chiropractic adjustments, let us know in your health consultation. We will chat about this, other chiropractic methods, and discuss how they may apply to your specific goals.

Free Health Consultation

During your 15-minute consultation, we’ll discuss your health history and any current concerns, including what you’ve tried up until now and what your ]goals are. You’ll learn about us and how we would approach your health and healing. Then, if you decide to continue on, we’ll complete a full neurostructural assessment.

Complete Neurostructural Assessment

This assessment is a continuation of the consultation. It’s where we learn your whole story, then determine how we can help. Depending on your needs, we may also run some tests to establish a baseline of your body’s current functioning, and measure its capacity to heal and regulate itself.

Report-of-Findings Session

During this session, we’ll recap what we covered in your first visit and present you with the results of your assessment. We’ll continue to educate you on our approach and the signs your body will give you to indicate that your health is moving in the right direction. Then, we’ll decide on a schedule for your follow-up sessions and if needed, you’ll have your first adjustment.

Ongoing Care As Needed

The amount and frequency of follow-up sessions we recommend will be specific to you. Follow-up appointments are small but mighty—they’ll give you relief and strategies for healing, but they’re easy to fit into your day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each case is different, so we try not to predict how your body will respond to care compared to someone else’s. Depending on your starting point, your health goals, and your commitment, we’ll design a care plan that’s right for you—one that includes scheduled re-assessments, to objectively track and measure progress along the way.

Your initial consultation is free of charge. This gives us both the opportunity to see if progressing with a full assessment makes sense. If you decide to proceed, your neurostructural assessment will be $145 (plus $85 for the results portion of your follow-up visit). This is where we take you through the results from your assessment, and offer our recommendations. Subsequent visits are $60.

The number of follow-up visits will be unique to you. Schedules vary based on each person’s individual concerns, goals, and level of commitment.

Typically, yes! Chiropractic services from a BC registered Chiropractor are covered by most extended health care plans. We offer direct billing with insurance companies, but please be aware that some insurance providers choose to solely deal with their members. As an ICBC-insured client, you’ll be eligible for 25 sessions within the first 12 weeks after the accident. We’ll use these sessions to restore balance to your nervous system (which controls and coordinates all other systems), so you can more easily heal, recover, and adapt to change.

No, your health and chiropractic care will always be your choice. And, a healthy body typically needs to be adjusted less frequently than one dealing with health challenges. But, you may decide to keep coming! Many people choose to continue with regular chiropractic care long after their initial concerns have been resolved. The longer our relationship exists, the more we can support you towards optimal health.

The short answer is, you don’t, and neither do we until we know more about you. Our approach is different from “traditional” chiropractic, which tends to focus on a specific injury or condition. Instead, we address deeper core problems with your spine and nervous system. If we find any such problems during your neurostructural examination, then we know we can help you. And sometimes, we can help you even if we don’t. But one thing we know for sure is that no matter what health challenge you’re facing or health goal you’re reaching for, you’ll always be better off with a high functioning spine and nerve system.

Our goal is to help you define your end goal and work towards it—no matter where you’re starting from. So even if right now, you’re feeling frustrated, stuck, tight on time, confused, overwhelmed, alone, or unsure of what you need, we can help you find a path forward.

Whether you want to optimize your health, move beyond nagging injuries, or crack the code of how to feel good for good, we’re here to get you feeling better—and help you reclaim your role as the main agent of change in your life.
